1. How do I get to the venue on Friday?
Transportation is not provided on Friday and we advise either driving to
the Halyard where valet parking is available or taking a cab
(Greenport Taxi 631-494-8763) or Uber/Lyft.
2. What is the dress code for Friday?
Friday night will be a combination of indoor/outdoor - think beachy cocktail
attire. For women, midi dresses or separates, and for men suits or blazers
with dress pants (ties optional) are welcome.
3. What food will be available on Friday?
There will be light appetizers and dessert available on Friday night.
4. Will there be transportation to and from the venue on Saturday?
Yes! For your convenience we will be providing bus transportation
(schedule to come) to and from several hotels in Riverhead and
Greenport. Parking at the venue is also available.
5. What is the dress code for Saturday?
Black tie optional (meaning truly optional!). For men, feel free to wear a
tux if you already have one or else a suit. For women, long dresses are
preferred. As a note, the bridesmaids will be wearing light blue.
6. Will the wedding be outdoors?
Assuming the weather cooperates, we are planning for an outdoor
ceremony on grass and an outdoor cocktail hour
7. Am I allowed to use my phone during the ceremony/take photos?
We would appreciate attendees refrain from using phones during the
ceremony, don’t worry our photographer and videographer are amazing
and will capture the whole event. We encourage photos at all other parts
of the wedding (as long as you promise to send them to us after!).
8. When do I pick my meal for Saturday?
You will be given a choice of entrée on the day of the wedding so you can
choose whatever is speaking to you in the moment. Please contact Emily
(emkessler@gmail.com) or Beth (bethmarieevents@gmail.com) if you
would like to request a Kosher meal for the wedding.
9. Where is the afterparty?
The afterparty will take place in the lower level of the wedding venue from
11pm-1am.
10. When should I arrive to the brunch on Sunday?
Feel free to stop by the brunch any time from 11am-2pm on Sunday to
enjoy a New York bagel, spend time with friends and family, and take in the incredible views at Sharon and Joop’s house. We realize that this may be a bit out of the way for some of our guests; if it is convenient to stop on your way to New York City or to the Port Jefferson ferry we would love to see you but if you can’t make it we completely understand!
11. What is the dress code for the Sunday brunch?
Super casual! Sundresses, comfortable travel clothes, or wear a bathing
suit if you want to take a dip in the Bay.
